About Us

Cbar3horses is a small family owned and operated business, located in Western Oregon in a small rural community called Scio.  The name Cbar3 came to mind as both my first and last name begins with the letter C and my 3 kids are my life. The bar is just a simple addition to connect the C and 3.

Our goal is to provide great minded and versatile quality Quarter Horses and Paints with great conformation, exceptional dispositions, good feet, well built, natural athleticism, easy to work with, and are beautiful to look at. Horses that receive training with us will become a respectful, well mannered member of your family and/or competitive team.

Our vision is to produce horses that are versatile, can be winning performers, great family horses, or ranch horses.  Over the years we have acquired horses that are performance bred, foundation bred, versatile, have great dispositions & conformation, and some added color for a bonus. Backgrounds include reining, cutting, working cow, ranch horse versatility, trail, gaming, english events, dun factor, and halter.

We provide services for breeding, training, consulting, lessons, and photography, as well as provide mobile services for stall cleaning and feeding while your on vacation or whatever your need may be.

We stand 2 amazing stallions. Bux Dunit Commando is a 2016 dunalino Quarter Horse who is as versatile as they come. He competes in both western and english events. His foals possess his beautiful refined head, lots of mane and tail, curiosity for learning, good bone size, height, and disposition where not much really bothers them. Jaz Buenos Comet is a 2016 grullo Quarter Horse who is 100% foundation bred and passes his stocky, muscular conformation, big hips, big bone, and strong feet onto his foals. Their oldest foals are 3-year olds in 2022 and we're excited to see what the future has in store for them.

We have 2 yearling colts that we are retaining as potential stallion prospects. Metallic Phoenix, sired by Metallic Cattack and out of Sage Bars Dun N Love, is a sorrel with a lot of chrome with 4 high stockings, a wide blaze, tail frosting, and sabino characteristics. Phoenix has the physical ability and mental mindset for quick thinking in events such as working cattle and gaming. Dunit With A Mobster, sired by HF Mobster and out of Dunit Slickntwisted (by Dun It With A Twist), is a cremello with splashed white (SW2). Biggles will be trained for reining as his mindset is calm, collected, and very confident that he knows what his job is. As they both mature, we will expand their training into other disciplines that cater to their natural abilities and interest.

Our training goals are to have horses that are respectful, trusting, and willing partners. Although we want our horses to be able to be as versatile as possible, we also acknowledge that each horse has their own mindset and physical abilities. We always work with the horse to create a partnership where the rider/handler and horse can be of one unit, rather than just a horse and rider/handler.

We believe that even if you're experienced and knowledgeable with horses, one can never stop learning or being reminded of something. Therefore, we take opportunities to attend a variety of clinics every year, and continue to learn from other trainers and a variety of clinicians. We are expanding our experience into a variety of disciplines including reining, reined cow horse, sorting, cutting, team penning, gaming, various trail types, and English events, such as pleasure, dressage, and jumping.
